Great American Beach Party featuring Sister Hazel If beach fun is what was on the agenda, then the City of Fort Lauderdale's Annual Great American Beach Party fit the bill. There were live bands such as Big Harvest, Six Foot Swell Surfband, Tom Jackson, Blues Brothers Soul Band, Pocket Change, The Long Run, and the featured headliner, Sister Hazel. A tribute to the US Armed Forces was a highlight of the day. The event was free and open to the public.
Undertow Jam 2016 Is a street fair more to your liking? This year 104.3 The Shark hosted its first annual Undertow Jam, a street fair in front of America’s Backyard and Revolution Live. The event was free to the public and featured food trucks, live bands and BMX Trickstars. For $25, attendees could enjoy a concert given by alternative bands Finish Ticket, The Strumbellas, JR JR, Bear Hands, Joy Wave and Young the Giant. All three of these activities were jam-packed and parking was limited. GO Airport Shuttle was glad to provide transportation services for some attendees.
