Looking for something fun to do with the kids in South Florida? Here is a list of the top ten fun places to visit this summer.

1. Butterfly World

This three acre park hosts the largest butterfly house in the world and was the first ever butterfly park in the United States. Besides visiting the butterflies, your kids will enjoy the hummingbird aviary, interactive lorikeet encounter, and butterfly friendly botanic gardens. You can even take home some free supplies to help you establish your very own butterfly garden at home!

2. Billie Swamp Safari

Have your very own swamp adventure on the Big Cypress Seminole Indian Reservation. Explore 2,200 acres of pristine Florida swamp that's teeming with wildlife. Just keep an eye out for those hungry alligators!

3. Bluefoot Pirate Adventures

This interactive cruise aboard a pirate ship is a real 'blast' - cannon blast that is! Aye, maties, you'll fend off rival pirate ships with water cannons as you search for the lost pirate treasure. Dress like a pirate, learn to talk like one, and learn about local history as well as conservation efforts along the Ft. Lauderdale intracoastal waterway. Book a birthday party aboard ship and the birthday child becomes an honorary pirate captain for the day!

4. Buehler Planetarium

The full-dome video system in the 40 foot observation dome lets you experience the stars and planets without interference. You can immerse yourself in the night sky as if city lights didn't exist - just the awesome cosmos! On Wednesdays, you can even get a safe look at the sun through the powerful telescopes on the patio of the Observatory. Watch out for those solar flares!

5. C.B. Smith Park

This popular 299 acre park offers family golfing, tennis, volleyball, a batting cage, basketball court, horseshoes, and fishing. Don't miss the waterpark with interactive tube rides and waterslides for all ages. Try the high-speed corkscrew slide - if you dare!
