Rock the Ocean's Tortuga Festival 2016!

Posted On: 04/15/2016

On April 15-17, the annual Tortuga Festival kicks off a weekend of fun and sun with Friday headliner Dierks Bentley crooning out his deeply personal brand of soul-searing country. Setting the stage for this Arizona native is newcomer Ryan Hurd, whose amazing array of songwriting hits include the Grammy-nominated duet "Lonely Tonight", performed by Ashley Monroe and Saturday's headliner Blake Shelton. The festival's second day also showcases the "country, soul, and R&B cocktail" that is Muddy Magnolias, who formed as a duo in Nashville in 2013. Their powerhouse sounds have been tearing up the scene ever since, with performances at Austin City Limits, Hangout Music, Southern Ground, and CMA Music Festivals. Sunday features country legend Tim McGraw taking the stage along with Elle King and her authentic-living, multi-genre sound represented by her current Billboard number 10 hit America's Sweetheart. Hardworking DJ Rock, resident DJ at the Atlanta hotspot Stagecoach Buckhead, has paid his dues and is now finishing up three years of touring with country music superstar Luke Bryan - and laying down beats for the closing night of the Tortuga Festival! You can check out the entire lineup of musical artists set to rock the sands at Ft. Lauderdale Beach Park here. The great news is that all this fun also supports a worthy cause: a portion of all ticket sales go to help Rock the Ocean. This charitable foundation will have a Conservation Village at the festival with interactive games, touch tanks, and the latest in ocean technology. The organization's efforts help local and global conservation projects such asThe Sea Turtle Protection Project, REEF, and Florida Fishing Academy with funding for their research, equipment, educational programs, and scholarships. Single day, VIP, and Weekend Passes are available to hear up to 30 bands perform on 3 separate stages at Tortuga 2016, with free access to the Conservation Village, plus food, drink, and artisan vendors throughout the festival. There's even Tortuga Wave Photo contests where you get you picture taken for a chance to win VIP upgrades, tickets, merchandise packages, and more! For the latest updates, check out #Tortugafest, and feel free to contact us for shuttle service to and from the event.
